India is sending expert doctors, experienced nurses, and modern equipment essential for treating burn patients to assist with the severely injured victims of the plane crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka.

This swift initiative was coordinated through the foreign ministries of both countries, BBC Bangla reports.

A senior official at India's Ministry of External Affairs in Delhi told the BBC, "Two experienced burn specialist doctors and a small nursing team are expected to arrive in Dhaka today (Tuesday)."

He added that "medical equipment is also being sent, and more medical specialists will be dispatched if needed."

Following the accident on Monday, July 21, Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri immediately spoke with relevant Bangladeshi government officials over the phone, assuring them of all possible cooperation.

On Monday evening, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences regarding the accident in a message on X, stating, "India stands by Bangladesh during this difficult time and is ready to provide all necessary assistance."

Since his message, continuous communication has been ongoing between the two governments via the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.

The BBC further reported that Dhaka informed Delhi that most of the injured sustained severe burns, necessitating skilled doctors, modern equipment, and medicines for burn patient treatment.

Upon receiving this request, India promptly took action and finalized the decision to send emergency medical aid, including doctors and nurses.
