BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has explicitly stated that the BNP will never support any wrongdoer, regardless of their identity.

He made these remarks virtually on Saturday, July 12, during an online exchange of views with the families of martyrs and injured individuals from July events, held at Hotel Lakeshore in Gulshan-2.

Tarique Rahman said, "No matter who the wrongdoer is, the BNP does not support them. Those who commit wrongdoing will be dealt with according to the country's prevailing laws. A wrongdoer can never be a member of any political party."

He added, "This victory for the people was achieved by ousting the autocrat. But the conspiracy is not over yet. Nine months ago, I mentioned an 'invisible enemy.' That invisible enemy is slowly becoming visible. We've seen various things happening in different places, and we are closely observing who is trying to obstruct a healthy and normal environment."

The BNP Acting Chairman stated, "We have consistently told the interim government not to condone any wrongdoing. It is the government's responsibility to ensure the safety and security of the people's lives and property. Why is the government failing in this? Why aren't those creating mobs being arrested?"

Referring to the murder of Sohagh, a scrap dealer in Old Dhaka's Mitford, the BNP Acting Chairman said, "Regarding yesterday's incident, we are very surprised to note why the government has not yet arrested the person seen committing the murder on screen. Should we then assume that there is government and administrative patronage for those who are trying to create a situation by forming mobs in various ways?"

He then mentioned the killing of a Juba Dal activist in Khulna, asking, "Why were his veins severed? Why is no one talking about it? Why is it being said that BNP is marching with dead bodies when we demand justice for him? Everyone needs to find answers to these questions, because the existence of Bangladesh is tied to these answers."

Tarique Rahman further said, "If we cannot counter the conspiracy of the new 'ghosts' alongside the old 'ghosts' in the administration, it will be difficult to sustain the country."
