The government has officially published the Voters' List (Amendment) Ordinance 2025.

This new ordinance grants the Election Commission (EC) the authority to release the voters' list at any point during the year, even before the election schedule is announced, if they deem it necessary.
Previously, only individuals who turned 18 after January 1 were ineligible for inclusion, but this amendment allows for more flexibility in updating the list.
